There’s a new, huge pic of Shockwave, the villain from the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon over at Apple. And word comes from them that a new trailer will be premiering in three days. I like this design that they came up with for Shockwave. Very reminiscent of the original cartoon yet in line with other transformers designs. Transformers: Dark of the Moon stars Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Frances McDormand, Tyrese Gibson., John Malkovich, Patrick Dempsey, Ken Jeong and John Turturro and opens in 3D on July 1st. So, my theory is that Transformers 1 was a movie that people actually liked, leading to the increased box office of Transformers 2, which most people hated. This bad taste in the mouth will lead to lower box office for Transformers 3, whether Bay’s claim that it’s really better pans out or not.
