THR has a couple of new pics from Paul W.S. Anderson’s upcoming The Three Musketeers. One is the required group photo (Logan Lerman as D’Artagnan, Ray Stevenson as Porthos, Matthew Macfadyen as Athos, Luke Evans as Aramis) with swords drawn, the other is of Milla Jovovich’s M’lady de Winter and Christoph Waltz’ Cardinal Richelieu. The Three Musketeers also stars Juno Temple as Queen Anne, Orlando Bloom (the guy probably sleeps with a sword) as the Duke of Buckingham, Mads Mikkelsen as Rochefort, Til Schweiger as Cagliostro, James Corden as Planchet and Carsten Norgaard as Jussac.
The synopsis: The hot-headed young D’Artagnan (Logan Lerman) must unite with three formerly legendary but now down on their luck Musketeers to prevent a beautiful double agent and her villainous employer from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war. It opens in 3D on October 14th.

I feel bad for those involved because this movie could aspire to greatness with the acting talent alone, but WS will fuck it up somehow ans we’ll be left with some what-ifs.
