Michael Bay isn’t going to let Harry Potter have the summer. Oh hell no. Bitches Audiences, meet Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
This is the first full-length trailer we’ve had of Bay’s latest … and hey, it actually looks like his greatest. For one, you can actually see what the Autobots and Decepticons are doing, as opposed to the whirling, blinding madness of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. There also seems to be a decent plot in this one, or at least a lot more mythology.
And wow. They do a lot of damage. Bye bye, moon. (All right, it might not completely blow up, but there’s some major damage done to it.) Bye bye building that is completely sliced in half, 9/11 flashbacks be damned. Hell hath no fury like Autobots denied knowledge of their planet.

Destruction for destruction’s sake. Throw in huge robots causing it and blasting each other apart, check your brain at the door, and hey, it’s summer entertainment. I’ll reserve my high expectations for X-Men:First Class and Harry Potter.
It’s a frigging toy movie. And Shockwave looks AWESOME.
