Another new Green Lantern trailer has arrived via Yahoo!, and it’s the perfect abridged version of the WonderCon footage, while also integrating new images and voices. The mask is looking a little better in places, the scale of the film continues to look legitimately cosmic (rather than kinda sorta cosmic, as in the surprisingly confined Thor), and we get more delightful chunks of Mark Strong as Sinestro.
I’m a little concerned about Michael Clark Duncan’s voice role, as it’s as awfully on-the-nose as I expected. He’s definitely dialed up the grumble though — he sounds gruff in a uniquely alien way — and he’s probably not phoning it in.
Take a look at the new imagery in the HD stills below, and enjoy the full trailer in HD at Yahoo!

This looks freakin’ awesome! I can’t wait!
Can’t watch the trailer, as I am at work, but I’m glad to hear you say the mask looks good in motion, as that screen cap of Ryan’s face looks like Beast Wars era cg. I know they’re going for this painted on look. . . but it just looks awful, and that extreme close-up isn’t helping.
“The mask is looking a little better in places”
Might have something to do with the extra $9 million in budget that was newsworthy everywhere else but here.
Maybe you should go everywhere else but here.
While I am still not sold on the costume as a whole this still looks like a great ride. Perhaps they spent an extra $9 mil on this but did they use it to fill in the front of that female alien’s costume?
I think they sold me on the sci-fi elements. I still *detest* the cheeky-cheery vibe of early Hal (God I hope they left that “I know, right?!” scene on the cutting room floor) and I’m far from sold on the brain dude but the cosmic scope looks suitably grand.
Also, the music does some very heavy lifting in the trailer. Anyone know where it’s from? (sounds too familiar to be from the flick’s own track)
