It’s going to take ma a bit to rewire my brain back to accepting that the following three young ladies are angels, since Supernatural has convinced me that angels are all dicks (except for Castiel of course). But here is the first group photo from the upcoming ABC re-re-remake of Charlie’s Angels, the 1970s original and last decade’s theatrical double dip. The heavenly creatures this go-round are from left to right, Annie Ilonzeh, Rachael Taylor and Minka Kelly. Al Gough and Miles Millar did scripting duties on the pilot, which was produced by original series exec prod, Leonard Goldberg and Drew Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen. This time, the setting is Miami, Ramon Rodriguez is the new Bosley, and Robert Wagner is voicing the call box, aka Charlie Townsend. Charlie’s Angels will be on ABC in the fall. Castiel is a Dick too, in this case its part of his charm.
The phrase “Slightly enlarge” seems to go pretty well with that picture, although maybe more than just slightly…
That gross mental image out of the way, it’s a rare network show that I’m actually interested in. The lady in red I’m a fan of in a big big way.
Seriously? Charlie’s Angels?!?! No wonder I hardly ever watch anything on ABC, CBS, or NBC.
I watch a couple things on Fox, and Supernatural on CW (Castiel’s best line ever: “I was on a bender.”). Most of what I watch is on AMC, FX, USA, or SyFy.
I think pretty soon the 3 networks will decide to just show repeats of their ’70s hits….
