Deadline is reporting some action on the upcoming reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It looks like paramount has hired on writer-duo Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec to the project. These guys are the writers behind the upcoming Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, as well as the laughable Life on Mars remake and Happy Town.
Paramount was apparently so impressed with their script rewrite for the new Mission Impossible flick that they hired them on to rewrite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The last duo to work on a script for it was Iron Man writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.
The turtles will appear in a film that’s a Paramount, Nickelodeon and Platinum Dune co-production- quite the mix. They’ve been trying to get this film off the ground for a couple of years now, so let’s hope that these guys can pull it off. It’s too bad that 2007’s quite-good TMNT (which was in itself an attempt to reboot the franchise) didn’t set the world on fire the way they wanted it to.

Hey if they can keep the movie more in tone to the 1st then I’m game for another look of the guys in green.
Give me Krang, the Foot, the Technodome and Shredder and I’ll give this a look.

If they can do something fun with it, sure. And people need to suck up and accept the fact that the first movie is terrible. Terribly written, terribly shot, terribly acted.
COWABUNGA! I am definitely interested in a new Turtles film. I am not a fan of TMNT 2 or 3, but I find the first…TMNT, Imagi’s CGI TMNT, and last years, Dtv Turtles Forever to be the…Best of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Films. I agree with…McGreedy Rises, concept of, Krang, The Foot Ninja, The Technodrome, and Shredder’s Return! I would also approve the addition of either…BeBop and Rocksteady or Karai (Shredder’s Daughter) as his chief henchman! I also want to see April O’Neill…Reporter! Casey Jones should also appear! Now if only there could also be new info on the…New TMNT cartoon! I still prefer the…Original Series!
I hope they go with the direction I outlined on the board several months back. The turtles demand to be treated with realism, respect and humanity
