Not sure exactly where Cap is this month in the comics, but I remember checking out in Wikipedia recently that Steve Rogers asked Bucky to stay on as the new Captain America since Rogers’ “resurrection”. Rogers had since been appointed head of the nation’s security by the president, replacing Norman Osborn, and that he was being seen around the way as Captain Steve Rogers. And it looks like they did a run of a title called Steve Rogers: Super Soldier That’s what this newest Captain America: The First Avenger poster below looks like to me. It can be found over at Yahoo! Movies. Captain America: The First Avenger opens on July 22nd.

He looks very Daniel Craigish in this shot. I’m kind of disappointed by the fact that there haven’t been any Marvel movie posters lately that have featured the characters just totally ripping ass in full costume. Thor was just standing there. Cap is just standing there. It’d be nice if at least one of the theatrical posters was trying to sell the movie like it was the first issue of a new comic series, because that’s basically what these movies are supposed to be. I still like the Cap teaser poster better, as it gave us a full shot of the costume (minus the mask) and also emulated some iconic Cap imagery.
Well, where are the rubber ears like my Captain America had?!
