Nolan and co. have that whole pregnant imagery thing down to a science, no?
It’s not hard to read a lot into this teaser poster, what with the rumors of the return of the League of Shadows to kill Bruce and tear down Gotham once and for all. There’s certainly the promise of more large-scale destruction scaling up from the Joker’s anarchic mischief.
I’m sure I’m not the only Batman fan that could sit and read subtext from this strikingly simple poster all night, so let’s just be glad the poster campaign is off to a good start. Hopefully the teaser trailer (which was not attached to my Harry Potter screening goddammit!) will be equally as lovely a return to Dark Knight publicity.

That is fucking great, yes.
Astonishingly good.
Go Nolan go! How damn lucky are we to have such an impressive filmmaker attached to the Batman franchise.
Fantastic…and the nerd in me cant help but wonder if this means “No man’s land” is getting worked into the film in some way.
Interesting call on the No Man’s land / Cataclysm storyline. I am actually quite curious about how they’ll work Bane into the storyline – I don’t think you can go through the entire Knightfall story arc, nor would you want too since it gets a bit wacky.
What? No online shenanigans-trips to the bakery-cell phone messages-creepy chanting to decipher? They just gave us the poster? Something seems fishy in Nolan-ville…
