Good sir Drew at Hitfix has a new Cap poster for us…

There’s that earnest look from Chris Evans again. This is a good example of how a photoshopped montage poster can still be classy if actual care is taken. Emulating the triumphant-pose posters of yore is nothing new, but I think most would agree that Captain America needs and earns that kind of imagery.
Seems like a heap of folks are seeing the film in the next couple of days, and so far the buzz is good. We’ll see if that holds up with more and more viewers, as Captain America starts to explode out from amidst the Potter blitzkrieg to stake his claim on the July 22nd weekend.

Nice, but no mask? Really? Is Chris Evans such a big box office draw that they need to show his face in all the posters? Yes, yes I know superhero movies are about more than just the costume/mask, but how less cool would a Batman poster be if he wasn’t wearing his mask in it? Just sayin’…
WHERE’S TOBY JONES
how do you show toby jones with his head in his stomach??
Interesting point. Might it have something to do with his entire costume being overhauled for his Avengers role?
are you suggesting that his mask is currently at the tailors?
Earnest Look? I’d say it’s more of a prissy-pout.
bazing
I wish he had the mask/helmet on, but I still this looks good.
That’s not an earnest look. That’s Blue Steel!
im just glad they got my favorite super hero movie vehicle in this one, go flying wing go!! im seeing this for sure!!
You really have to hand it to Hugo Weaving – that’s quite a career he’s managed to carve out for himself. Agent Smith, Elrond, the voice of Meagtron, V, and now the Red Skull – he’s setting himself up for the most lucrative post film comic convention tour of all time!
