The trailer for Paranormal Activity 3 is up at Apple, and I’m not gonna pretend it doesn’t excite me a little. I enjoyed the first two films, and might be in the minority in having thought the second was better than the first. Going a step further than that, I thought this year’s Insidious was better than both of them. But that’s besides the point. This appears to (entirely?) take place in 1988 through Katie and Kristi’s family home movies. We’re apparently going to learn the origins of the demon that was after them all those years. I’m intrigued, but I think their storyline should be over after this. You know there’ll be a fourth film after this makes warehouses of money in October so let’s start fresh.
And thanks to Harry at AICN for pointing out a neat little bit of viral marketing for the film over at Darren’s Timeless Memories, which is supposed to be a video restoration service. Pretty neat, and includes a clip of the film in the lower right hand corner of the page.

Yep, lovin it. Nothing scarier than kids.
How about the fourth film features a police style video as law enforcement goes looking for the missing child?
And five years from now, they’ll remake the first one.
…except maybe The Indy 500.
And zombie kids dressed as clowns.
