You know what is the best part of the Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy trailer you’re about to watch?
The date: September 16th, 2011.
It’s only a month or so until we get a truly incredible ensemble of fine actors delivering what looks like the most spine-tingling spy thriller since Munich or The Good Shepherd. Not next year, a month. Love it! With all of this TDKR filming hype, it will be nice to have a full, new performance from Tom Hardy to enjoy.
Henry Jackman should be proud of his Magneto cue (Frankenstein’s Monster) from X-Men: First Class— it’s proven to be quite the enduring action theme of the year, and it serves this trailer very well.

Yeah, really looking forward to this. I hope everyone realizes this story is all about the slow burn though. There were some misleading action cues in there.
Yeah, it’s likely to disappoint anyone expecting Bourne stuff, and I hope that the combination of cast and director don’t have me raising my hopes too high: it will be tricky to adapt it without pointing a large finger toward the solution of the mystery.
Actually, that date is when UK audiences are getting it. We heathens here in America have to wait till November.
great trailer. My Grandad was a massive fan of the TV series with Alec Guiness when I was a wee fella but I was too young for it so have no knowledge of plot or anything. Intend to keep it that way and go in cold.
