Apes! Body switching! Money and balls! Tinkerers and Soldiers and Spies and shit!
Another week, another video, and an open call for questions to be answered on the show!
Note: I mess up the Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy release date. The september date is for the UK, but we don’t get here in the states till November.
Thanks for watching everyone, and a special thanks to Shaun Burdick for some audio help (do me a favor and help me thank him).

“I loved an APE MOVIE!!” Sing loud, sing it proud brother. Good ep. Disappointed there was no Airplane “Panic Boobs” insert though.
Nick and Renn, good comeback from ape slaughter. It is a sad commentary on the times we live in when Airplane and its like are not appreciated.
Enjoyed the casual vibe in this video. The baby cgi sphincter sounds great. Maybe I will see the Change Up this weekend. I saw Apes and liked it. I didn’t love it but I thought it worked much better than the trailers indicated it would. The CG work on the young Caesar was a little iffy in parts but once he was an older, upright primate the CG looked fantastic.
Airplane was one of my favorites when I was growing up, it is unfortunate that it’s not getting the attention it deserves.
I got a question for ya… when is the next video or non-video podcast with Steve and Justin?
That’s interesting what you said about Airplane. I’m almost 30 and had never seen the film in its entirety until recently. I thought it was laugh-out-loud hilarious through the whole running time. I couldn’t believe what I’d been missing out on. The sense of humor is unique, though, and I have no concept of how it reads to other people. I was also surprised to hear a few lines that were used as samples in the Lovage Cd. Can’t wait to see CGI babies.
Great episode guys. Very sad that Airplane doesn’t have traction anymore. One of my favorite comedies ever.
Good video. I’m glad to see that you guys didn’t absolutely hate The Change-Up. I was surprised by how much I laughed at it. Most people have been panning it without even checking it out.
I’ve never cared for Airplane. Only saw bits of it and didn’t care for it.
And yes, Rise of the Planet of the Apes is bad ass!
Also, for a question you guys could answer on the next show, which Soderbergh film are you each looking forward to the most? Contagion or Haywire?
“And we went on location.”
Super 8 was on location, too. I appreciate the gag, even if nobody else does.
