Celebuzz has an assemblage of photos for Joss Whedon’s upcoming The Avengers. The photos show the team, mostly in street clothes, except for Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki…unless of course those are their equivalent of t-shirt and blue jeans. Never really did see an Asgardian running around in cutoff shorts, a wife beater and flip flops. The actors portraying Earth’s Mightiest Heroes were filming a scene near Bethesda Fountain in Central Park. We’ve got a couple of the snaps below and you can click over to Celebuzz for the rest.

I enjoyed these pictures more than I probably should. Thanks for sharing! To geek out a bit: I am curious if Thor can even remove his Asgardian wear? I mean, I know in Thor he went most of the movie without it, but that was because he didn’t have his powers. Would he be powerless if he were to strip off his armor and don a wife beater and board shorts? Or would he be okay as long as he held on to his hammer? Man it’s a wonder I’ve ever been laid.
Look at the body language in that first pic. Hiddleston’s obviously hitting on Scarlett Johanssen (and who could blame him?) but her arms are folded so she’s having none of that. I hope so anyway, because I like to delude myself into thinking Scarlett is secretly saving herself for me. Great pics! Thanks!
