UPDATE: Along with the stills below, a new one-sheet has escaped into the wild!

(via First Showing)
I’ve made my skepticism towards John Carter thoroughly known so I won’t harp on it again, so here are some new stills that keep on track with our last look at the film and actually contain interesting things. I’m still not enamored with the unconvincing CGI and same ole same old vistas, but the six-legged pug-frog creature is cute and there’s finally a hint of real scope, so have a looksee as Disney starts to unfurl its next sci-fi/fantasy epic…

i have to say, this looks like a cross between Hercules the legendary journey, star wars the phantom menace, and cowboys and aliens. which does not bode well for me.
…or humanity.
If these were posted as pics from a new HeMan movie, I’d believe it.
OH, and the potato-dog looks hilarious.
I’d really like to give Andrew Stanton the benefit of the doubt on this one, but that one sheet really reinforces how dull the title is once you drop all the “Princess” and “Mars” stuff.
Herculoids: The Movie
HOLY CRAP new stuff on CHUD in almost 5 days. Sad thing is i read this stuff on AICN a few days ago.
I want this movie to be so good, I am blindly rooting for it but wow that movie poster is balls.
Every time I see stills from this movie, I imagine that he’s still Tim Riggins, just kind of taking in the weirdness around him in bemused silence. Actually, come to think of it, Tim Riggins in Space would probably be better than this will turn out to be.
I loathe that title.
Like the poster. Like the stills. The clones are falling in line.
Damn, I hate to be a nitpicker, but it just bugs me too much…
Isn’t Mars the RED planet? It looks like John is touristing around Utah or something!
Taylor Kitsch just seems like the worse possible leading man in decades. He makes Sam Worthington look like George Clooney in comparision.
