The newest teaser poster for The Dark Knight Rises has sprung all over the interwebs this past weekend. And it shows Batman’s cowl in pieces – as I’m sure the man himself will also be – when Bane gets through with him. Looks like one of Wayne’s and Alfred’s first recipes, from that defective graphite batch, if you remember, from the first movie. The poster itself? Not bad, I’d say. I’ve generally liked all the posters I’ve seen for the movie so far. In fact, I just used this to replace the Blade Runner flying car LA milieu on my desktop. TDKR opens on July 20th, 2012.

First off, Nick didn’t write this article, did he?
Second, How am I trolling? This thing’s been other sites since saturday, and yet this article presents it as fresh news that popped up today.
OK, kids, chill. First off, Nick does have the patience of Job, more so than you know. Second, I caught it on a couple of sites today as new postings and ran with it. Honest mistake that’s easily corrected. Third, doesn’t it say who wrote the thing or no?
Accept my apologies everybody. I didn’t intend to catch too much heat for my comment. But when somebody posts some news (whoever it is, Nick or otherwise) there’s no reason to call attention to who posted it first or when the news was originally put on the interwebs. I am thankful to have CHUD as a go-to source for information, especially when there is doubt out there that the website is having a rough time. Just my defensive reaction, and I should know better than to reduce myself to adolescent name-calling.
“The legend ENDS” – “The Dark Knight RISES”. Isn’t that an oxymoron? Also the sleet/snow juxtaposes with “SUMMER 2012”. Ooh that crafty Christopher Nolan does like his contradictions.

All trolling aside, it does seem weird you guys are so late to the party.
I mean, this site’s supposed to be about news for upcoming films, a new batman poster’s pretty big news, and every other site that does this sort of thing was commenting on this all weekend. Is it strange we expect you guys to know as much as we do?
I like CHUD, and I’ve been using the site for a long time, but their being several days behind the rest of the internet is a valid complaint. Reporting the same thing as other sites but only after everyone else aready acknowledged and discussed it renders the site kind of pointless as a go-to source.
