What does it mean when the studio drops your trailer on the same day that the trailer for TDKR is taking over the conversation? I mean, the first film made plenty of cash, but the response felt and continues to feel poisonous (due in no small part to a disaster of a 3D conversion), and it’s hard to believe they’ll be able to pull off the same bait-and-switch again, even if Sam is convinced they’ve done something better (or at least more “weighty”). The trailer is… I dunno, whatever. It doesn’t look especially crappy as a CGI-fest following up another CGI-fest (there are worse offenses than putting giant monsters on a big screen) though the use of the Manson cover hurts my parts. Frankly, it already looks more textured and exciting than, say, John Carter but it’s entirely possible/likely this will be too stupid for even a glazed-over level of enjoyment.

That god awful music!
I’ll make a Herculean effort* and keep an open mind if you will, Renn. Some of the monster concepts looked novel, having the Titans break free from Tarterus raises the action stakes over the first movie, and the song wouldn’t be that grating if we all hadn’t spent 1996 listening to it too many times.
A Herculean effort, huh? Someone is a disciple of Duke Fleed (not that there’s anything wrong with that).
at least he has a believable hair style this time, it looks heavier on action than the first one also.
that said, sadly it will probably stick a sword into any hopes of a God of War adaptation anytime soon

This trailer is ok, I guess. However, the Immortals was what Clash of the Titans should have been, so onto the fence I will climb and sit.
I’m getting VAN HELSING flashbacks, to be honest. Seeing this kind of movie is like watching someone else play GOD OF WAR. If you’re not a part of the action, as you are in actual video games, what’s the point?
From a junk food action movie perspective, this trailer looks pretty awesome.
