It looks like Will Smith’s one-liners will be time-traveling as much as his character, if this latest Men In Black III trailer’s “I will pimp slap the shiznit out of Any Warhol” joke is any indication. Perhaps there is some context for the painfully out of date reference to a piece of slang that was never actually funny, but still… ew.
That said, I’d be lying if I didn’t note that there are some things in this trailer that I like. Brolin’s take on Agent K’s dry, cavalier personality seems fun, and I love that MIB headquarters becomes filled with shittier, cheesier looking aliens in the ’60s. Also, I’m reading some indications that Rip Torn is actually in this (NOPE), which would please my soul. I’d also like to see some glimpse of Michael Stuhlbarg, as he’s quickly becoming one of my new favorite character actors and he plays a character called “Griffin” here.
Will Smith seems to have entirely lost his control of the quip though, which in and of itself pretty much spells doom for this movie if that’s the case.
Also, Trey Parker and Matt Stone must be laughing their dicks off this morning, because somebody thought it would be a good idea to bring Mr. Garrison in to advise the vehicle design…

I think they should have found away to de-smith this one. It seems like it could be fun if it was not for his hammy, still shot inspired crap. I honestly think( and this may seem like a bad idea) that the series should have brought in someone else( like Eddie Murphy) and have been a kind of reboot, where Murphy was Smith’s replacement and had to go through this. Smith is tired and bored in this film.
Have they taken it down?
That Garrison Bike thing is so strange. Will somebody actually attempt to ride it in the movie or is it a background prop?
Is Smith going to be Jar Jar to Brolin’s Qui-Gon?
Anyone who pays to see this will be directly telling Hollywood that filming a screenplay without a completed second or third act is perfectly acceptable. In other words, they will help to raise the bar even lower than it already is.
That should read, “will help to DROP the bar even lower than it already is.”
Perhaps Lou Ferrigno will excitedly rush in and cry out, “Dey burned down da bah!”
