There’s a Japanese Avengers trailer floating around the internet today and it’s absolutely the best look at the film we’ve had thus far (Yahoo! Link). Honestly, it’s probably the first time since Iron Man‘s post-credit sequence that I’ve felt anything approaching excitement for this movie. There’s nothing traversing spoiler territory, but the interplay and internal conflict amongst the characters goes a long way in making this feel like something more than just a big-budget street fight. Hopefully Marvel gives us an English cut of the trailer soon, because it’s the best one I’ve seen.

The trailer also gives us a a decent look at the enemy as well. I don’t recall having seen this shot before…

Hmmm, tis true. Updated, thank you.
I don’t like those flying jet-cycles, or whatever you would call them. Too piece-y and Transformers-like. But the Helicarrier is cool as shit.
This movie just seems to be manufactured for me, this summer has alot of releases I am looking forward too-TDK Rises, Prometheus, Bourne Legacy and Brave-this film I could care less about. It feels like Iron Man 2 except worse. I hope Whedon can prove me wrong.
That should read “this film I COULDN’T care less about.” When you say “I COULD care less about…”, that means you care about it at least in some measure, get it? Unless of course that IS what you meant to say, in which case I offer my sincerest apologies.
So glad I’m not the only one in the world who has noticed this, it drives me up the wall when people say “I could care less” (although, again, if that’s what you meant, MaouriCeltic, I apologise). Trailer looks good, I’m trying to keep my expectations realistic for this one so I can enjoy it for what it is.
I am SO glad I had no desire to see the Transformer movies. People keep bitching this looks similar, but it looks cool to me.
