Here’s the newest trailer for the flick. I’ve gone back and forth on this one, and am now just resigned to leaving it be until I give it a nice clean shot in theaters. How does this one shift your excitement though?

Renn Brown, I think the new trailer looks…Amazing! So, in addition to Spider-Man vs Godzilla’s Cousin aka The Lizard, he will try not to get, S.W.A.T.ted by the NYC cops under the command of Captain Stacey! I have not been…Leary, of this new Spider-Man, since they hired Denis, as Emma Stone’s dad!
This!…is the Comic Hero Movie of 2012 – Not The Avengers (I could care less). The look, the tone, the story – Amazing.
I think it looks great! A ton better then I expected. The set pieces look great and it looks super slick. I’m really digging this now.
I’m still not entirely sold on this. This trailer does look a tad bit better, and I liked the “small knives” bit. Guess I’ll just wait until I see it in the theater.
What I don’t like is this whole “Do you think it was an accident?” angle.
Costume still sucks. This is the costume I was afraid Hollywood would make during the first Spider-Man movie. I still don’t get the reboot (then again, nobody does but Sony). Even if it was still Garfield and Webb why not just make it Spidey 4 keep on moving on? The ground work was laid. You could keep what worked, ignore what didn’t. 3 left them easily where MJ could go away and Gwen come in with barely a line of dialogue. Hell, the “mystery of Peter’s parents” could have still been the main story thrust, and Curt Connors was already in place.
Actually Dator201, the proper way to use the phrase is “I COULDN’T care less.”. When you say “I COULD care less” it means you care a little, get it? Think of it in terms of money, if you don’t have any money, you would say “I couldn’t have less.”. If you said “I could have less,” that would mean you have at least some money.

The whole look of this thing screams “game interstitial”. I don’t think it’s possible to look less “real”. And I don’t give a shit if it’s a comic book movie- nothing looks this pretty.
I’m a little surprised by how much CGI-porn there is in this trailer. Didn’t Webb make a big deal out of trying to shoot as many practical stunts as possible, as many shots in-camera as he could? I remember all those set shots of stunt Spideys hanging from cranes…where’s that?
I gotta admit this trailer actually looks like they got everything right that Raimi left behind (mechanical shooters, smart-ass Spidey) but it definitely lacks something. Originality? Inspiration? Emotion? Compelling narrative? A decent villain? I guess we’ll see what the actual film delivers.

in the poster, what the hell is his web attached to? A DC-10? Reminds me of the 60s Spiderman cartoon.
A flagpole. So many flagpoles in NY. Never with flags. Just hovering, waiting for someone who needs a flagpole.
Absent parents. A child who finds out he is really a jedi/wizard/bene gesserit/superhero. Convoluted origin story. Garfield looks like he really wanted the part, and the quippiness is good, but…I smell franchise killer here.
