Well, if you’re not a fan of Cercei Lanister on Game of Thrones, you’ll be seeing her oft-snooty face knocked down a peg in Dredd, as indicated by this photo of Lena Headey that was recently released. In the LA Times piece that put the photo out, she remarks that she’s playing another rough character in Dredd.
“I think of her like an old great white shark who is just waiting for someone bigger and stronger to show up and kill her,” Headey said. “She’s ready for it. In fact, she can’t wait for it to happen. And yet no one can get the job done. She’s an addict, so she’s dead in that way, but that last knock just hasn’t come. This big, fat, scarred shark moving through the sea and everyone flees and she’s like, ‘Will someone just have the balls to do it? Please?‘”
You can read more of that at Hero Complex, while also checking out a small batch of new photos from the rest of the Karl Urban-starring film. Some stuff blows up, dudes scowl. You know, Dredd stuff. The 3D film hits September 21st, and hopefully will bring more than another cheesy action flick with sharper contrast and more grunge.

All these images -except the Lena one- have been out since last September. There’s several more from this collection floating around.

I’ve seen this same batch of old pictures being repeated on every relevant site. Do people not do any research on the web-o-tron anymore?
The emotion I had when I first saw the picture, was wow, I didnt realize Harry Connick Jr. was in this.
more DREDD is good DREDD. bring it.
Argh, those fucking helmets need to be another inch or so further down their faces. Who gives a shit if the actor’s can’t see – it looks like their heads have been squeezed by the Hulk.
those helmets do need to be lower, I think the actors cant see as they are now. It looks lke the red bit stemming from the nosepiece is at their eye level. I don’t like the design, even if I do realise they’re close to the original design/shape by McMahon.
wow, I just wiki’d Dredd to dbl check I had McMahon’s name right (I did – uber nerd memory) and I didn’t realise Carlos Ezquerra is credited as creator (along with John Wagner).
HULK SMASH NERD
