The Dark Knight franchise isn’t totally immune to bad posters, but most of the primary one-sheets tend to be pretty classy. So what the hell is the dueling-perspective shit with a re-hued version of the old one-sheet with Batman clumsily pasted in front? We’ve got two very specific angels on two very specific subjects competing, all for a super-generic image. No good.
I’m as excited for more ominous, fiery imagery as anyone, but do better than this trapper-keeper, fan-comp bullshit WB.

In all actuality, I like the perspective and concept but wish it were more stylized. Then again, the posters (outside of Joker’s writing in blood) for this series have never lived up to their potential.

Batman looks 60ft tall. The whole thing gives eye ache. What the fuck were WB thinking with this promo campaign? Seriously it has to be one of the very worst campaigns in the history of summer tentpoles.
Man, that is some fugly shit. It’s especially ugly when you take into consideration, the classy teaser poster that came already.

This is my most anticipated movie of the year, but I have to admit this is indeed a lame photoshopy poster. They could’ve done better. However, over on the superhero hype boards people are having a fucking fit and saying things like “THE MOVIE WILL SUCK NOW OMG!!!!!!!!!” Calm down people, it’s just a poster. I seem to remember the posters for The Avengers being pretty damn shitty/photoshop-y. And yet EVERYONE on Earth went and saw it.
It is perfectly acceptable…this series has a history of minimalist posters with contrapositioned images…this is nothing new…internet fandom is having its Avengers deserts and are quick to dismiss non-Avengers superhero stuff…if this was last year this would be getting heaps of praise…people are actually wanting to see this movie, not waiting to be suprised( like with the Avengers)…
Ok, hold the phone. Everyone stop using Photoshop and start hiring artists to come up with appealing and gorgeous poster artwork from now on. Drew Struzan > Photoshop.
It’s just a movie poster. I go to the movies…I see movie posters. Advertisements for the movies. The movie is what counts. Looks ok to me. What about the Anchorman poster? It’s shoes….but it’s an advertisement for Anchorman. The movie is what counts in the end really. Unless there’s a crap movie everyone hates to death, but likes the poster artwork I guess to put up on their wall at home. That would be a good topic. CRAP MOVIE…COOL POSTER
