So good!
Seriously guys?
Beautiful
Yeah it’s lavish (as you’d expect from Lurhmann)… But not worth shooting my load over (yet).
I know it’s just a cover, but fuck… when do we get that Jack White back in proper form?
It certainly has a beautiful look to it. But I dunno, it seems really…action-y. Also, why is this in 3D? That’s just weird.
What action are you talking about? A car driving fast and a war flashback for a quarter of a second? Just because its editing is fast-paced doesn’t mean there’s any action in this.
Meh, I prefer the Vincent Chase version. Nyuk nyuk nyuk.
If this was a musical, I think I might care. Didn’t he learn from his last overripe history lesson?
We’ll see. I don’t remember much shouting in the novella. It all just seemed to be a quiet and sad inevitability.
Maybe the remake of Grapes of Wrath will have a cannonball run car chase across the nation, with the winner getting a job.
F. Scott didn’t write in all caps much.
I will say that Leo is absolutely perfect for the role. I’ve come to be a big booster of his with people who think he’s just a pretty face (ever since Johnny Depp jumped the rails, anyway).
It looks pretty good, but boy did that Kanye West/Jay-Z intro take me out of it.
And why 3D!?!?!
Nothing screams The Roaring Twenties like Autotune.
And Carey Mulligan does the weepiface, surfuckingprise.
