I’ve exhausted my prerequisite amount of Dark Knight Rises posts this week. I know that.
But just last night I was looking at my Heath Ledger “Why So Serious?” poster realizing that I haven’t seen anything for The Dark Knight Rises that I’d want to hang on my wall. Well, that’s not true anymore:

Part of me wishes it was 2011 and this was our first introduction to Nolan’s Catwoman. From the bat-symboled lipstick print to the fetishistic heel blade, it’s an evocative image that presents the character beautifully – and it would have been an incredible teaser had we not already seen Catwoman up close in the trailers.
But good on Warner Brothers nonetheless. This image kicks ass.

Or they could have fooled us all and had it been our first look at BANE. Creepy…
Cheesy as hell. It would be great on a porn cover.
Ouch, right between the batarangs…
I don’t care what’s depicted on any of the posters; as long as it has that silly title on it I wouldn’t hang it on my wall. Had I a wall to hang upon.
My first reaction was: Hey, Sin City 2!
Gotta agree. If this was the first teaser poster released last year? The internet would have imploded.
It may be a gritty new Batman franchise grounded in reality, but it still likes its female antiheroes in stilettos. Meet the new boss…
Nolan probably saw it in a James Bond film.
Agreed. It’s a pity that the marketing for Rises has been so poor, they could (should) have done much, much better. It’s bizarre.
That is a step up.
It’s a movie that sells itself though. How good does it need to be?
