I’ll be damned, this looks sort of decent. Jeremy Renner is nestling into a weird niche for his safe pictures – playing badasses that either work or have worked for the government. The Hurt Locker, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, The Avengers – all movies where dude’s worked for Uncle Sam at one time or another. He’s becoming the most rule-abiding action star there is. “I’m sorry, I can’t fight right now. These taxes aren’t going to file themselves.”

Watching M:I4 just makes me wish that Josh Holloway had been cast in every role of Renner’s. He’s no Sam Worthington in terms of blandness in action roles, but he’s not too far off.

Because we are still left: huh? And who the fuck is Aaron Cross? They should have left the question unanswered so that we feel like finding out watching the flick. Im rather stoked to see this one, though.
