I’m swingin’ here? I see. Well, I hadn’t been that pessimistic about this movie previously, but Garfield’s delivery of “woohoo” is already seeming like it has the potential to be the “yippee” of 2012 for me. Hopefully it plays better in full context. Anyway, um…enjoy?

I don’t really see anything wrong with this clip. Have you ever read a Spider-Man comic?
Peter’s a teenager with a smart-aleck sense of humor, and he’s swinging around in the air?
Give the kid a break, like you wouldn’t let out the occasional “whoo-hoo” while flying through the air.
I’m having trouble viewing the clip, but please tell me he speaks the title line Ratso Rizzo style.
This film has the buzz of a new pauly shore release
Confirmed.
I still don’t like his hair.
People sure do have a hard-on for wanting to hate this movie.
Awful.
Woohoo I’m not paying to see this.
Lets face it, it won’t be a bad film like Prometheus which is worse than John Carter.
Cause smart ass teenagers love paraphrasing 40 year old movies.
Garfield will be fine, I’m sure, but I just don’t care about this at all.
If it’s okay for Marty McFly Jr. to do it in 2015, I think it’s okay for someone who’s arguably AS dorky to do it in 2012.
This movie looks fantastic. Every clip outside the “Look how dark we can be” trailers seems to be showing this to be a light hearted time. I’ll eat all the crow if I’m wrong, promise.
Just wasn’t that bad. Not great… but not that bad. Doesn’t deserve the proactive hate. Until it’s in a theater anyway.
You’d prefer to hear “Say ‘ello to li’l frien’!” just one more time maybe?
Seriously, that thing still get’s used in movies aimed at 5-year-olds and will continue to be used and re-used until the end of time, so yeah, we could have certainly gotten worse than “I’m swingin’ here”.
Shit, “Say ‘ello to MY li’l frien’!” is what I meant…
And i have a tube of lipstick…. where do i sign up?
If romance has to be had, i will elaborate on the sense of that.
More suggestion of the film’s actual tone, though I think James Newton Howard’s score could border on a little (read: a lot) schmaltzy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAdkXUNl1Mo
So, there’s some pretty cool practical acrobatics going on here and all you pick up on is the ADR? For shame, sir.
Besides, this totally looks and feels like a spider-man movie. Honestly, I don’t want to hear Parker say things like “Eat web you fat fucks!”
Absolutely, Parker being a geek, probably knows it from BTTF 2 – I know that’s where I heard it first.
