Not really much to say at this point. Now that The Avengers is well into the past, everyone is primed and varying degrees of pumped for The Dark Knight Rises. This 30-second spot doesn’t shed any new light, but we do get a little more Batman-Catwoman duo action. Man, as ridiculous as Christian Bale’s ‘bat-voice’ is in the films, it sounds so much worse plucked out of context and put into a trailer — especially when he’s supposed to be jovially bantering with Catwoman. Kevin Conroy, where are you?

I’ve long said that the voice Bale uses when he’s alone with Alfred (I know how suggestive that sounds) or Lucius Fox is the voice he should use while in the suit, and the phony patrick bateman schtick should be his voice with anyone else, when he’s pretending to be trust fund playboy Wayne. You are right though, it doesn’t play well in a banterly context, especially since Hatheway seems to have nailed catwoman’s icy tone with the “I got it…” line.
Don’t think Anne Hathaway has anything nailed.
Add in Bane, and his could be the movie of silly voices.
