Creepy, right?
A sort of formal acknowledgment of the new Halloween season release plans for Carrie, this character poster updates “spring 2013” to an explicit “October 2013.” It also present a pretty terrifying image of Julianne Moore as Carrie’s mother, promising she’ll bring the goods as the bible-thumping psycho who ends up raising a one-woman holocaust. This joins the rather effective teaser image of Chloe Grace Moretz, a rather creepy little voicemail campaign, and the very sharp teaser trailer.
The film hits specifically on the 18th of October.

Her eyes are totally cashed…God won’t help you, but some Taco Bell and a pizza might…
Creepy, yes, but a little too similar to the character posters for THOR: http://www.iamfatterthanyou.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Thor-Character-Movie-Poster-Set-1-Natalie-Portman-as-Jane-Foster-The-Woman-of-Science.jpg
As far as the poster that was already out there, there’s obviously no hiding the fact that it’s a remake of course, so I think they should be playing up the fact that we ALREADY know her name. People might see the “You Will Know Her Name” and just not care one way or the other, moving on and not paying attention to the web site address at the bottom, but if you say “You KNOW Her Name”, people might think “Huh? I do? Lemme give this thing a looksee…”. Playing up the familiarity might actually make people more curious than making it seem like some kind of mystery.
creepy poster for a sure to be horrible remake.
btw…type-o in the title…….SVAE
The original is a great film – but it didn’t take in the full scope of destruction in the original book. I’m interested to see how much they expand the Carrie rampage beyond the prom….
However, it’s going to be hard to top some of the more disturbing elements of the original – the shower scene, the final gravesite sequence, both Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie’s performance, and pretty much Nancy Allen in general – her nearly orgasmic excitement when Travolta is clubbing the pig is genuinely disturbing.
And, of course, nobody can rival William Katt’s fro……that will undoubtedly be missed.
GOD won’t Help You…
,but a basic grasp of ‘kerning’ might.
You just had to have ONE MORE pull from the skull bong, dintcha?
That poster looks like an adult Natalie Portman from “Black Swan”.
Overbearing mother and child with talented skills that has issues…where did we see that before?
