We’ve known for a while now that Thor: The Dark World was going to feature Dark Elves in a big way, but these images courtesy of MTV are our first up close and personal looks at the buggers. Front and center in that first pic is main bad Malekith, played in the film by Christopher Eccleston – though it’s no guarantee this is him in the picture.
Malekith first appeared in Thor #344 back in 1984. He’s not a shape shifter in the true sense of the phrase, but he can use magic to disguise himself into pretty much anything. He also has the abilities of teleportation and talking your ear off when you’re in line at the DMV. Seriously, guy’s a real prick like that. “I came here to renew my tabs, not conjure spells, asshole.”
