Before everyone starts jumping all over Pixar’s groin over this, the studio’s involvement with this was little to nil. Planes is apparently on the receiving end of a Toy Story 2-like reprieve; where its forgoing an originally planned DTV release for a theatrical run beginning August 9th.

For anyone who saw Cars and thought “Great, but what about the planes? Can the planes talk? Disney better not leave me hanging on this,” it’s your lucky day. Also, please kill me and then yourself.
