It looks like 28 WEEKS LATER, which was amazing, and very rated R. it ALSO reminds me of I AM LEGEND, which had……um…..great cinematography? and with a PG -13 rating? I’m not anticipating this in the least, but i’d be open to be pleasantly surprised.

I agree, but this is a Summer blockbuster where as 28 Days/Weeks Later were both much more focused and contained in a believable reality. This looks a lot more like I Am Legend, and that’s not a good thing. I’m disappointed they’re still bothering to call this WWZ, but I hope it at least lives up to its budget and scale. The tidal wave of zombies thing looks dumber and dumberer every time I see it though.

Ditto that. Is Brad Pitt gonna wax his surfboard a catch the wave, or what?

No way will this be good. Just a cash in on the title of the source material and beating the zombie horse. Now, a legit 28 MONTHS later would be nice.

God this movie irks me on so many levels. The swarm idea is probably one of the most retarded visions of a zombie plague. It goes against everything the book was actually about. The poster is horrendous by saying a grouping of zombies have enough surge that it can lift buses in its tide off the ground?? The fact that the living dead all of a sudden have super agility and superhuman speed… This movie, makes the huge zombie fan in me, mad as hell.

The swarm thing is something new and a fresh take on the genre, and people complain??? I understand that people who love the book are butthurt, but try and remove yourself a little from that. You’ll still have the book to read, this is a movie, that re-imagines some stuff.
