Early adopters of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey on Blu-ray had the benefit of participating in a live chat with Peter Jackson to ask questions about followup The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Warner Brothers has been kind enough to let Jackson release a six minute snippet of that Q&A and it’s a pretty solid six minutes for Rings fans. I’ve gotta be honest, a lot of this Tolkien-speak (Colbert’s question) is over my head, but I think it’s something fans like myself can appreciate nonetheless. Also, seeing Bloom back as Legolas is worth a peek as well.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, the second film in Jackson’s new trilogy, hit’s theatres December 13th of this year:
EDIT (Renn): A keen viewer apparently spotted PJ’s copy of the Star Wars Ep. VII script visible in the video. Haven’t been able to frame-by-frame crosscheck myself, but looks legit. Anyone care to corroborate?
EDIT (Tim): I’m going to throw my two cents in and say that’s an VIII. A subtle jest or is Jackson trying to tell us something?

Thats what i thought at first, but this video was released before April first.
