So why are they calling this Dragonball? I haven't seen one planet destroyed in this trailer! Can we be honest for a minute? There is no reason this can't be a semidecent martial arts action flick with some of that Bog Trouble in Little China magic, but…the orange vest? Goku's stupid hair? Are these things even important to the film? How long did they think about these details? I'm not a "fan" exactly of the DB/DBZ/DBZFBICIA/DBZLMNOPQ franchise, but I honestly think that the name is going to drag an OK film down with too heavy a set of expectations. Of course, the people who have expectations of a DB movie are not really running lose in polite society are they? Are they? (chill runs down spine)

I remain convinced this will at least turn a profit and create a spikey-gel-haired-guy genre.

Actually, the character's name is more ridiculous than that. It's "Bulma" which is an Anglicized version of the Japanese word for "panties," "buruma."

Oh, and this movie looks like horse-pocky.

There is simply not enough negative words Devin can spout about this movie or the anime to make me less excited.

And given Devin's past of bashing films before seen (The Dark Knight anyone?), I'm much more inclined to believe that Dragonball will be much more decent than he makes out, even if it does look silly. And hey, we all deserve a silly film once in a while.

It ain't going to change your life and make you better person, so stop acting like it should, and either embrace the silly nature of it & give it a decent chance or just stop caring so much that it's been made & move on to other things.

I'm not saying you have to say nice things about the movie, because in the end, I may just end up hating it the most, but whether you like to admit it or not, time & effort has gone into this movie, and I believe in giving the cast & crew the benefit of the doubt, and giving them a fair and unbiased chance to impress.

I'm going super sayan on this naysayin. DBZ was actually a fairly entertaining cartoon. The matrix ripped off a lot from it. Yes, it was hokey and weird as hell, but it doesn't deserve this kind of hate by a long shot. Call me brain damaged if you must. I don't give a shit about this movie, though.

I can't believe this film is gonna be made. DBZ was silly, but silly fun. This just look painfully horrible.

And yes, nerdy DBZ fans will hate this and drag it down next to Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter.

Wow, this is probably the most hated film in history. I can't quite figure out why that is unless it's just a bunch of former fans growing up, realizing they're old, and taking their angst out on it. It's a goofy sci-fi action series, nothing worse than your typical comic book movie or gasp stephen chow's whole career, yet those get a free pass. Poor Dragonball. Good luck next year.

I just hope this brings back "Chargin' up mah Lazor"…missed it when it was apparently big (or not)…
