This YouTube video is a sly parody of the endlessly similar making-of docs that we’ve seen on a hundred DVDs for big budget spectacle films. It’s a behind the scenes look at the making of the bootleg of Avatar, and it skewers every envelope-pushing cliche.

does every single thing you post really need to be about avatar?
Avatar avatar avataravatar avatar avatar avatar. Avatar avataravatar avatar avataravataravatar avataravatar avatar avatar avatar avatar avataravatar avatar, "Avatar avataravatar avatar avatar." Avatar? Avatar, avatar avatar avatar, avataravatar avatar avatar avatar "avataravataravataravatar-avatar."
Avatar.
I thought it was funny. What wasn't funny was Devin's spoiler filled review of Sherlock Holmes. I realize it doesn't have the pseudo-intellectual dialogue, or the stupid, cartoonish violence of Ingloious Basterds, but come on. Seriously.
There's a long, barren wasteland of diminishing clicks between now and the next Twilight movie, so you can't really blame Devin for milking every last hit out of Avatar coverage.
The retards above didn't get it. Nevermind. Anywho, good stuff.
That was pretty unimaginative overall.
When is Devin going to finish his sour grapes about Avatar?
Avatar.
Avatar was terrible. This short was great.
LEAVE AVATAR ALONE!! WAGH!!!!!
Avatar. Avatar? Avatar! AVATAR! HAHAHAHAHAHA!
We get it, Devin. You loathe Avatar. Isn't there something else you can write about. I didn't even care for Avatar much (cool FX, lame story/characters, too fucking LONG), but you need to get a life. I used to read Chud for movie news not "ALL DEVIN's MASSIVE HARD ON FOR AVATAR". Give it a rest, bud.
If you're tired of hearing about Avatar, why are you clicking on articles that contain the word "Avatar"? Don't you have control of your own mouse?
LOL. I liked that. Of course in order to capture the full 3D effect they would need to have two bootleggers with cameras sitting next to each other, so they could capture two slightly varying images for the binocular effect. Then you watch the dvd at home with your eyes crossed.
Even the making of spoof is boring.
I wonder if God's Only Film (aka Avatar) will be as good as this?
DF aka FF writes more about movies he hates than he likes. what a cry baby, he is … ps only real retard calls others retards.
"If you're tired of hearing about Avatar, why are you clicking on articles that contain the word "Avatar"? Don't you have control of your own mouse?" Because there's not much else posted on CHUD these days unless you want Nick's "funny" pictures, episode recaps of old TV shows or reviews of DVDs that have no interest for most readers. Those are what bulk out the site these days, so when the only full-time employee with any real writing ability uses most of his time scratching the same self-serving itch over and over, it is fair use of the comments to say enough is enough.
come on dev, fuck avatar. lets move on now.
My 2c.. I think Devin doesn't like CAMERON, not Avatar. Seems to have more of a problem with Cameron big-noting Avatar before it's release than the actual movie. It's an ego thing.
If this post were the first thing you ever saw on CHUD, you'd have no clue how Devin feels about Avatar one way or the other. The post is just about spoofing making-of videos as well as pointing out how ridiculously shitty some pirated movies are. There's no commentary about the actual film there. To me, it seems like you guys are bringing your own shit against Devin into the discussion. The video could have just as easily been about any other film — the ONLY reason the guys who did the spoof picked Avatar was because of all the hype surrounding it as being a paradigm-shifting event movie.
Devin's a fucking looser and is jealous of James The King Cameron and all of his success. Come on this douche was hating on Cameron and AVATAR before it came out.
I'd love to see his face when he sees AVATAR reigning supreme at the box office. Just jump out of a window and get your miserable life over with, but make sure it's higher than a 3 story window
Merry X-mas
So talking about real bootlegging on this site is verboten but a parody of such actions, as long as it involves Avatar, is ok?..
I figure Avatar is one film that Devin doesn't have a problem with being illegally shared?
did judd apatow produce avatar, or something? that's the only way i can explain the excess of avatar coverage. other than it being a major tentpole film and this being a movie site that at least partly fulfills mainstream demands…
