I don’t know.
When the Sundance line-up was announced I was particularly excited about Armless, a movie dealing with Body Identity Integrity Disorder – a disorder that drives people to want to be amputees. You can look at the title of the film and realize which body part the lead character would like to lose.
Then I saw the trailer, embedded below (via Twitch). I’d like to imagine that this trailer is a misdirect, but something tells me what I see is what I’ll get – not psychologically disturbing body horror (imagine having the desperate need to get rid of your own limbs! To have your own body as your enemy!) but rather a quirky indie drama.

There was a Nip/Tuck episode about this. Can't remember what happened, but some dude really wanted to lose his leg. Creation is such a beautiful and perfect thing.
The song ruins the trailer. Change the song to a haunting score and it looks like a completely different movie, closer to what you were expecting.

the trailer cuts out early – the doctor laughs his ass off, calls him a dick and then fucks his wife until she can act.
I'll probably get trolled for this, but it actually looks quite interesting, and I think you people need to be a little more open about film. Though I saw a couple *bad actor* flags in that preview. It still looks like the kind of quirky indie shit I enjoy. "Psychologically disturbing body horror" has no place in the world of film, IMO. It goes in the rubbish tin with pornography and mainstream comedy (e.g. Stepbrothers, Sex Drive, the Hangover).
