From all accounts, Crazy Heart boasts a career best Jeff Bridges performance. In a career of absolutely amazing performances, I find that serious praise and the kind of info that makes an already unmissable film insanely more unmissable.

As the film (directer by Scott Cooper, an actor who played Klansman’s Son in Austin Powers) trickles into the smaller markets after winning audiences in every city it reaches [it comes to Atlanta tomorrow and I’ll be there seeing the late show at the Tara] it’s gaining serious awards buzz. Devin called it this [well, 2009] year’s The Wrestler.
Bridges plays Bad Blake, a fading legend still trying to maintain greatness. His name is Bad Blake. Of course youneed to see this movie. Maggie Gyllenhaal, Robert Duvall, and Colin Farrell also appear.
