THR is reporting that Paramount is developing a sequel to Four Brothers, which will cleverly be titled Five Brothers.
The cute idea for the title seems a tad out of place. If memory serves (and it didn’t. I had to look this up, as it was quite forgettable) the film ended with less than four brothers… so perhaps they’ve picked up a couple of new brothers on the way.
Mark Wahlberg wants to star again, and actually thought up the idea with the original writers David Elliot and Paul Lovett, who are going to pen this one as well. The duo were also behind G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra last year, another film known for its fantastic script.
There’s no details on the story just yet, but it likely will continue the revenge/vigilante theme of the first. No word on if John Singleton is interested in going back to the material either, but then again he’s been attached to Luke Cage for years and years now, and with the way Marvel’s going to start pumping them out it might happen sooner rather than later.

i thought this movie was okay,
but you know what a phenomenal script.
grizzly park! it doesn't get enough love here.
Say hello to your motha for me.
I remember enjoying this film quite a bit, fun old school action pic – like a modern western… sequel doesn't really make sense. The first movie was clearly a one-off. How hard would it be for them to just develop a franchise for Markie?
take the ghost of dead mom out and you've got a solid flick
It was actually a remake of Sons of Katie Elder. Its too bad tbs aint what it used to be because this is a great tbs movie.
You know what I found weird about Four Brothers? The brothers hang out in the bathroom together, taking showers and dumps and stuff.
