Robocop does indeed kick ass. It gloriously captures the good elements of 80's cinema.
Tougher times back then. If robo was made now it'd have five second edits and a full cgi robo doing backflips and shit.
Glorious. Yeah, definitely nails down just how few bumps the original has in it. Even with someone like Aronofsky at the helm doing his own smart thing with the material, you're just not going to repeat the joy of Kurtwood Smith, Miguel Ferrer, and Ronny Cox's performances, not to mention the rest of the Boddicker gang and OCP suits. @#3: Dude, what's with this obsession with pointing out the non-newness of youtube videos? There are millions of the fucking things. What do you do, sit there watching them all day so you can tell anybody who links you that "I've already seen it, that's old stuff!!"?
