New Line just sent over this new Nightmare on Elm Street poster, third in the “Freddy is photoshy” series. Here’s the first, and here’s the second. As you can see, this one’s nowhere near as effective as either of its predecessors.
Is the girl melting into the floor there? Standing in a hole? Wishing that someone else had photoshopped her?

The last trailer had her in a snowy bedroom maybe there is also some water in a dream. Posters okay but they maybe should have bulked Freddy up just a little. He looks too slight.
Washed out, unscary, unfocussed, all style over substance, a pale imitation of its progenitor… if this poster is reflective of the movie (and I think we both know it is), then A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET could well be the worst remake since THE FOG.
I'd take a scorching case of herpes over a ticket to this movie right now. What a spectacularly wasted opportunity…
I don't think any remake can be worse than THE FOG, BLACK CHRISTMAS and RZ's HALLOWEEN.
Would prefer a root canal to watching ANY movie with Michael Bay's name on it. Yes, I know he is just an executive producer. No matter. Everything that hack touches turns to shite.
It would have a long way to go to be worse than The Fog remake. The boredom….
Didn't you even watch the new trailer, Alex? There's a part where someone is runnning down a hallway, but ends up basically swimming cause the floor turns to black crap… like when Nancy's trying to run up the stairs in the original (and New Nightmare).
Kind of short to be a metaphysical serial killer, don't you think?

Jesus, this poster looks like it was slapped together in about ten minutes. Awful.
Maybe it's just me….but, I think I'd rather sit through 2 hours of a Platinum Dunes crappy horror remake instead of waking up with herpes or going in for a root canal. Call me wacky.
