We hate it when our friends become successful, Morrissey once said, but I don’t find it to be that true. It’s kind of exciting when a friend does well, and it’s exciting to see Jeremy Slater continue to do very well in Hollywood.
You might know Slater’s name because he used to write DVD reviews for us – like his popular DVD Holiday Orgy of Despair – and has been a fixture on our message boards for more or less ever. Now you’re going to know his name because he, along with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, has created a pitch that they’ve sold to Dreamworks. The untitled film, an airport thriller, will be written by Slater. The film will be directed by video and commercials director Matthew Cullen.
I can’t tell you anything more about the project because I don’t know anything else about it. I do have some good pictures of Slater from my last birthday party, though, so maybe I should blackmail him into giving CHUD the exclusive scoop. In the meantime I’m certainly looking forward to following the entire thing through production and then giving the movie a well deserved 10/10 review.

Slater's a friend, I thought you two hated each other the way you went at it like a couple of bitches all the time. OH well, who cares, no one wants to read his elf fan fiction shit.
I would watch an elf-based airport thriller. Especially if it were about a dragon airport.
Airport thriller… zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…..
Jeremy has been a raging asshole to Nick for years and he gets respect on Nick's site from Devin.
Where the fuck is Pet? Hasn't it been in development forever? Who the hell writes a script specifically for Dominic Moynihan? Why does the world need another airport thriller? Will this ever get made? So many questions.
I'm very happy for Jeremy. We get along fine. He is busting his ass and taking his lumps and earning it. Can't fault him for that. He gets respect from me too.
Awful lot of evil Fuckpigs here seem to know a hell of a lot about the history, interpersonal relationships and behind-the-scenes skinny of CHUD and yet hate the site. Proof if any were needed that CHUD is doing something right. Best of luck to this Jeremy guy and the continued success of CHUD.
Interesting that Jeremy is going off to write an Airport thriller when in the link above he states "airports are miserable, shitty places that we dread visiting in real life and certainly have no interest in seeing on the big screen" Hmmm…… Go you Jeremy, clearly living the dream.
Orci and Kurtzman are the worst. Those two untalented monsters of mediocrity couldn't write their way out of a paper bag. I hope Slater is a better writer.
so
Jeremy can be a bit of a pill sometimes (as can anyone on the boards) but I forgive all for his PANTS SHAT post from quite some time ago…
