Worlds are colliding! Valve’s Left 4 Dead blog announced the impending release of the crossover DLC The Passing, which joins up the casts of both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2:
…if it was coming out next week we would say right here – Left 4 Dead 2’s The Passing is coming out next week and we will be updating the blog next week with more news on the release. There you go.
Additionally, fans of Left 4 Dead 2’s Dark Carnival campaign should check out Rock Band’s new offerings this week. A pair of songs from Midnight Riders, the game’s fictitious state fair rockers, are both up for download. Sky flowers sold separately.
The Passing arrives later this week with a 560 MS point price tag.

Sweet! More training for the impending zombie apocalypse.
Hhhmm..too little too late?
Gotta say I'm a bit over L4D. First was great but the second just didn't hold my interest in the same way.
Are they seriously going to bother releasing this shit?
I purchased the game for xbox 360, and what, months and months down the track and they STILL haven't fixed the goddamn game. It's amazing. Releasing DLC for a game that DOESN'T work. How about a patch first? Hell, maybe you have to buy the DLC to get a playable game?
Yeah, I know, my fault for playing on a console.
Yes, your fault for playing on a console, especially when you've had two previous releases by the same developer that indicate that they couldn't care less about you and your 360.
to #4, you're a douchebag
