UGO has floated an interesting casting possibility that at this point is mere rumor: could Tommy Lee Jones be making an appearance in The First Avenger: Captain America? According to a source close to UGO, Tommy Lee Jones might be a very busy man this summer. Along with the previously announced Men in Black 3, Jones is in negotiations to appear in Marvel’s The First Avenger: Captain America. And they say aging actors don’t have a place in Hollywood anymore. Ha!
Not much else to report on it that’s anything beyond mere speculation. Assuming it pans out, though, who could he be? Military? Super soldier serum developer and scientist Abraham Erskine? A Nazi? Nah, not a Nazi. Could be anybody (well, probably not the Falcon), but anybody else.

I've emailed Devin about this, but long story short: we're hoping he'll be playing Bucky in the modern day segments at the start and end of the movie.
Assuming that is the legit Kevin Feige, I take it that means we are getting Ultimate Bucky as opposed to any Winter Soldier possibilities? And isn't Tommy Lee too young to play a WW II vet without heavy makeup?

He could play a WW2 version of Nick Fury, with the name as an M-like codename or something.

General Sam Sawyer, a relatively obscure character that was basically the "commanding officer" of the Howling Commandos. Easily shoehorned into being the guy in charge of "superhero ops" for the Allies or something.
Maybe not that specific though…possibly just "The General that was standing there when Steve Rogers got rejected and brought him into the Super-Soldier program." Dunno if he has a name (though for some reason "Taylor" is ringing a bell).
Bad use of brackets. Brackets are for things which are aside from the flow of the sentence. You cannot refer to something in brackets outside of them because the sentence wouldn't make sense if you took them out. It would read "Could be anybody, but anybody else".
I'll bet he's the modern day Captain America. Joke's on you, America! He thawed early!
I've never heard older male actors voicing concerns about a lack of roles in their twilight years.
It's female actors that face real difficulty in marketing themselves once they're 35. Just look at the age of each actress Nicholas Cage has worked with from Raising Arizona to Bad Lieutenant.
