Overture Films just sent over this first picture from the upcoming Let the Right One In remake, Let Me In. Here’s Chloe Moretz (Hit Girl from Kick-Ass) as “Abby” in all her vampiric glory, presumably repeating the film’s title.

set for an October 1st release. It will be interesting to see what, if
anything, they retain from the original novel that wasn’t included in
the first adaptation.
On a personal note, I’m about two thirds of the way through the novel myself and am really enjoying it. For fans of the film (and really, why wouldn’t you love this utterly beautiful film?) it’s interesting to see more backstory for Eli, Oskar and Hakan. The story takes a few twists and turns that the film doesn’t, although most of the material Tomas Alfredson passed on was done for a reason. This is a rare case where the adaptation is superior to the source material.
We’ll just have to see how the remake stacks up.

I thought the novel was fantastic but I would agree that the film is superior. I am holding out hope that the remake turns out good.

I thought Chloe Moretz was the best thing about Kick-Ass, so I'm curious to see how much the filmmakers fuck-up this remake.
Ah, #2's douche-piece was deleted – now it looks like I'm talking to myself. Okay, well…"Occasionally". @#3: Yeah, they've nailed the casting absolutely. It's fully down to the director and the script not to fuck this up.
The movie was amazing, but it wasn´t better than the novel. There were scenes in the novel that worked much better on page, especially the "action" scenes. There was one or two scenes when Eli actually flew with membrane like wings. How cool would that be if shot correctly.
I wouldn't love this beautiful film because it was ultimately boring (coming from a guy who enjoys many foreign and drama films that are overly long) and I was pissed I paid $25 for it on BluRay because It was deemed a "masterpiece". This may be because of the apparently wrong subtitles…but I just thought the film wasn't that interesting.
the only chance the remake has of being at all superior is in the case of the horrible cgi cats
