Right now, any Zoe Saldana news is good news. Or at least it’s a good excuse to post a picture of her. The latest tidbit, via THR.com, finds the erstwhile Uhura in talks to sign onto Luc Besson’s Colombiana. The story centers on Saldana, who would play a young woman who, after witnessing her parents’
murder as a child in Bogota, grows up to be a stone-cold assassin. She
works for her uncle as a hitman by day, but her personal time is spent
engaging in vigilante murders that she hopes will lead her to her
ultimate target: the mobster responsible for her parents’ death.
Besson wrote the script with Robert Mark Kamen and Olivier Megaton (Transporter 3) will be directing. The red-hot Saldana (in more mays than one) has been all over the box office lately, appearing in Star Trek, Avatar, Death at a Funeral and The Losers. She has the drama Takers upcoming in August with Hayden Christensen, Paul Walker and Idris Elba, as well as the Trek and Avatar sequels in the planning stages.

Hey, David. It's "Colombiana" not "Columbiana". Have a nice day, man. Take care.
The uncle did it.
This girl can not be a name or carry a movie. Sorry.
Plus that plot is so recycled why doesn't Luc Besson just write a different title on one of his other scripts and let some poor shmuck make the best of it.
You genius, you.
Damn, #2's a sharp fuck. No doubt whatsoever that's it.
Thank you, Grammar Nazi.
more crap from Besson. someone stop this hack..
Alternate title: Vagilante
She can't be that 'hot'. The Losers died a quick death at the theaters. And Star Trek and Avatar didn't make their money because she was in those movies. She's had a string of good luck kinda like Megan Fox had about 3 years ago. Interest will likely disappear then the fickle masses will flock to the new eye candy du jour
Would I pay to see Zoe in another movie…sure why not. She looks more then stellar and she can carry a character confidently. But yeah the plot summery does push me right out the door, it might be a bit early to call foul but Jesus Christ guys you could at least try to mix it up. The stone-cold assassin has been not only been done beyond death, but it's never been good to begin with.
