ComingSoon has word, via Variety (which doesn’t get a link because of their bullshit online registration policy), that Jerry Bruckheimer has just picked up the script for Terry Rossio’s and Bill Marsilii’s (both of Deja Vu) Light Speed. The film centers on a young pilot who makes the Earth Interstellar Racing Team
and must take his ship on a perilous journey across the galaxy on the
brink of war. The trade says that Bruckheimer envisions the project as a live-action and potentially 3D.
Rossio of course has Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides upcoming, while Marsilii has 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea: Captain Nemo on the horizon, as well as re-reteaming with Rossio on Jingle.

Young Marsilii is a brilliant writer as anyone who saw Deja Vu can attest.
Can't wait to see his new film.
