This year I finally got to visit the set of a Harry Potter movie. I walked through Hogwarts, stood in the Great Hall, sat in Dumbeldore’s chair and looked at eight films worth of props, monsters and costumes. It was a geeky dream come true, and I’m happy I got the chance before the series came to an end.
And it’s that ending I have come here to spoil. I’m kind of torn about running this, because what I have here are shots from the very last scene of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II – ie, the very last scene to ever be in any Harry Potter film. But if you’ve been reading the books you know what this scene is, and you know how exciting it is to see these images.
So you’ve been warned – here there be spoilers.
The image below comes from the future – years after the final battle at Hogwarts Harry, Ron and Hermione send their own children off on the Hogwarts Express to learn to be witches and wizards themselves.
This shot reveals that the production has gone with old age makeup to age up Daniel Radcliffe, and not CGI, for which I will be eternally grateful.

If this scene is executed as well as it was in the book… I believe it will be classic…
So, talking about the post credit scene in Iron Man a week before the movie comes out is bad form, but talking about this scene before the movie even fucking wraps is ok? What the hell is wrong with you?
I can't think that there is a scene in the entire series of Harry Potter films that I'd label 'classic'.
no inviso text on that? couldnt use a more obscure image? funny how this runs next to the scott pilgrim set visit where you walled yourself up not to see the ending.
If this scene is executed as well as it is in the book, I believe it will be a steaming pile of shit. The Harry Potter epilogue is the biggest literary disaster I've ever experienced. Second only to the final battle, in which Harry talks Voldemort to death.
And that truly looks like an older Radcliffe. Excellent make up. Oscar anyone…?

While he is wearing makeup, I wouldn't be surprized if they touched it up with some post-production CGI affects and voice-alterations.
I hope that's not the final makeup we see in the film. From that shot, it looks like the awful middle-aged Marty McFly from BTTF2. Notice how much larger his head is because they had to stuff his real hair under a bald cap?

I can't believe they're filming this already!!! It's so bittersweet! I want to see the movies, but at the same time I don't want it to end. The epilogue looks amazing so far. I love Ginny and Albus Severus. Little James should be older, but Lily is adorable. I think the makeup department got a little crazy with Dan. He looks 80 not 37. I hope they fix that. 37 is not that old. Harry should just have a couple of grey hairs and couple of wrinkles. He shouldn't look 90 years old. I can't wait to see Emma, Rupert, Tom, and the rest of the kids. 😀

I can't say I'm a big fan of this scene in the books but I am still very excited to see it, should be amusing seeing all the characters older. I just hope they don't make Ginny all frumpy and old looking like her mom just to make her look older. I agree that Harry looks too old in this scene. And to all you people who are dissing Harry Potter, why the hell are you even bothering to look at this, screw off, Harry Potter rocks and the sappy epilogue will never change that.
