Did somebody actually approve this? The concept of the movie isn't even introduced until the trailer's more than half over. Before that, it's Jack Black doing his standard shtick. And the closing gag (the one that's supposed to make everyone say "I've got to see this") is a GOOOOOAAAAALLL joke that was old a decade ago.

Wow that looks pathetic. I like to give movies a chance, but based on that trailer I don't know if I can. Great films will always be made by somebody, but we'll always have to be subjected to this.

Now THAT'S a Fox/Rothman product from top to bottom. It's like they said, "You know the shittiest part of Night at the Museum, with all the little people standing in front of shitty green screens, let's make a whole movie around that concept." And what is with the trailer focusing almost completely on the shitty set-up, I don't even need to see the first act of the film because they gave it all away, not that I'm ever going to actually watch this POS. Also, why the fuck would Jack Black, by himself, drive a boat into the Bermuda Triangle? What the fuck?! I'm calling it: Biggest bomb of 2010 by far. This flick makes Land of the Lost look like 2001: A Space Odyssey. I bet Emily Blunt is pissed that she had to do this instead of Iron Man 2, I know I am, Scarlett sucked ass as Black Widow.

Here's the thing… I'll probably go see this. I was sold when the opening scene was him playing with Star Wars toys, but when the movie turned into him playing with people the size of Star Wars toys, I got it.

Just clicking over to that site was a mistake. Jack Black looks like a blow up doll in the picture over there with all the life shopped right out of his face, not to mention the way he's got his mouth open.

Hollywood: "Well, which classic do we ass-rape next? We did Alice in Wonderland. Now Gulliver's Travels. And coming soon…Catcher in the Rye starring Michael Cera!"

But seriously folks, whoever works in the Fox marketing dept. must be trying to take down the corporation from the inside. That's the special kind of awful you can only do on purpose…

I thought you were kidding or exaggerating. Nope. Fucking unbelievably terrible. And, you know how movie trailers are cut, right? That means there's probably 5-10 other versions of this trailer cut. And they're worse.

Thank God for movies like this. This dreck only appeals to the hunchbacked mouth breathers who occupy malls during the shopping season. Well you're free to go to this for 2 plus hours and while you're at it go ahead and take your bratty snot nosed spawn with you. While you do that, I will take advantage of finishing up on my X-Mas shopping.

Em, for all the comments against Devin bringing up the FX on British TV shows, can you please enlighten us to the ones he is missing, and thereby "generalizing"? I cannot think of a fucking thing. And yes, there are indeed some great FX studios here, BUT, most of the good work they do ends up in films – American films, generally, because of the cash-flow – and definitely not TV. But, of course, I may be wrong, and feel free to correct me.
