James Cameron will be directing a
full length 3D narrative feature
starring the Black Eyed Peas. This is not a rumor but based on an
actual statement by will.i.am to Vibe.
Pardon me while I LOL.
If
there’s a worse way for Cameron to spend his time after Avatar,
I can’t think of it. The Black Eyed Peas are assuredly one of the worst
mainstream groups now working, and… well, there is no and to that
sentence. They’re just horrible.
Says will.i.am:
Right now we are planning our
3-D tour movie and James Cameron is directing it…We have the
biggest director because we are the biggest group on the planet. The
Peas are filming it in South America. People will be able to see us in
the theater with the 3-D glasses and everything.
He also says that the storyline was
cooked up by Cameron himself. Goody! That’s always been Jim’s strong
point.
Being
in a 3D movie makes sense for will.i.am, as he is among the most
cutting edge humans on Earth – you’ll remember that he appeared as a
hologram on CNN’s 2008 election night coverage. In fact, this could be a
step back in dimensionality for him.

i can think of worse groups out there than BEP, Devin. Let's not be dramatic.
While this sounds horrible, before I even clicked the link for the story I figured it would be Devin railing on Cameron for something. While this one is probably deserved, sometimes I wonder if Devin gets off on tearing this guy apart.

I can't imagine this taking too much of the King's time and energy, a few weeks to shoot and then I'm sure Cameron will punt it off to his team for post and editing.
This is a great project for Cameron, heck Scorsese's Rolling Stones Movie "Shine A Light" grossed (GOOGLING) 5 million? Wait a minute never mind. The King must have a alterior motive to develop and test 3D tech for stadium and sporting events. If he was any kind of Canadian he would be doing this project with RUSH.

Sad thing is that this was supposed to happen with Nine Inch Nails a couple of years ago. Universal kept it from happening.

Also, Will.i.am isnt exactly cutting edge, he steals all his ideas from Daft Punk and makes them more palatable to mainstream audiences
The BEPs were good back in the 90s. had a real band that was funky as hell and they did their own music. Kind of a Roots approach. But then it became awful. And Michael Bay signing up for something like this I could see, but Cameron? What the fuck is he thinking?
I agree with Steve, back in the 90's BEP were awesome. BEP and the Roots CDs were in constant rotation. Then they got Fergie and well… we get articles like this.

Black Eyed Peas are easily one of the worst main stream bands out there and fucking 'I've got a feeling' is pandering to the mainstream friday night arsehole crowd cashgrab and nothing more. 'Hey we're going out so lets put on this song'. Fuck off. I don't believe a word of this simply because why in the name of hell would Cameron do this. Just because some idiot pop star says it's going to happen doesn't make it so.
Will.i.am, ACTING DYNAMO. Seriously, X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a movie full of bad acting (and bad everything else), and he was still one of the worst things in it. And the Black Eyed Peas are fucking awful and need to die in a plane crash.
