Marvel has a fluffy interview piece with new TV honcho Jeph Loeb, in
which he reveals almost nothing. The small reveals are interesting,
though. Loeb says that Marvel is pursuing hour long dramas; I’m actually
sort of disappointed because I think some Marvel properties potentially
lend themselves to half hour formats – both comedy and drama. He also
says that the shows will air on ABC and ABC Family. That’s not
terribly surprising, as ABC and Marvel are both under the Disney
umbrella.
The
biggest news is that he’ll have some sort of announcement at Comic Con
about what shows are coming up. We should known in three weeks what the
first live action (modern era) Marvel TV show will be. What are your
guesses?

I bet Ant Man is one of them. Followed closely by Rocket Racoon and Longshot.
Does Sony have the TV rights to Spiderman? Same question on Fox with the FF and X-men. Also there could be a new Hulk tv show, they do have the big greenie back, and it worked on TV once. I would love to see some sort of Marvels show where they work in the entire continuity of the universe in there from a human perspective.
I doubt they'll pick it, but Runaways is a no-brainer. I know there's been movie talk for a while, but screw that. Teen children of supervillains on the run? How is that not a TV Show?
I hope Iron Fist gets a shot. A playboy billionaire kung fu master…who wouldn't want to make that show.
If they want a little variety, throw his buddy Luke Cage in there with him and call it Heroes for Hire. That always worked well.
While we're on the subject, i know different studios own the film rights to certain characters, but where does Marvel stand with the TV rights? If Fox don't have any objection to Marvel using Madrox, i'd love to see the noir detective agency version of X-Factor.

Network tv is aimed at women and ABC Family is for kids, so you'd be best to think of ideas for shows that would appeal to those demographics.
Tomb Of Dracula could be a great show, but I'd be afraid of the casting for Dracula, given the way vampires are generally portrayed these days.
Howard The Duck would make a good sitcom. It might be time to try to clean the stink of the movie off that character.
I know they don't have the Daredevil rights but God almighty do I wish for the day of an hour long DD show based on Bendis and Maleev's run.
My guess is whatever the series it comes in as a mid season replacement and lasts 6 episodes.
I'm just not feeling network TV and anything that requires special effects.
I say Jeph gives Clark Gregg the starring role he's always deserved and make Phil Coulson: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Damage Control could actually make for some great half-hour comedy.
now more than ever we need a kid's animated Squirrel Girl series.
Iron Fist would be a great one. I would watch that. A Hulk reboot would be ok, but god is he a dull character when he ins't in Planet Hulk comics.
Also a SHIELD show would be great fun, as they could talk around the big heroes but focus on catching villians like SPyMaster.

how about a punisher series? i think it could work as an hour-long action drama. it`d have to be toned down a bit, but a lot of the best of ennis`s max run (as well as jason aaron`s reboot) had punisher as almost a supporting character in his own book. it was often more about the villain of the storyline and the planning of whatever he was going to do, and how punisher turnsed it around on him and outwitted him in the end. all the while, the cops are trying to nail him while some big baddie is pulling all the strings. they could use the ultimate universe version of the punisher, who`s a former cop instead of a vietnam vet. second choice: luke cage: hero for hire. `nuff said!

Obviously: X-MEN. I know Fox has the movie rights, but TV? "Wolverine and the X-Men" is made by Marvel Animation. Could Marvel do an end-run around Fox here? Mebbe?

Fox sued over the Mutant X series… don't hold your breath on any of the characters controlled by other companies being seen on TV anytime soon.
If there is a God they will make a half hour comedy about working for AIM.
It will be based off of the updated New Universe from a few years ago Newuniversal. It's a mystery featuring characters who come together because of the mystery. Granted, they have powers but hey, it's Lost. If Marvel really want to be dicks, make a Squadron Supreme television series. Hey look, it's the Justice League, but not actually the Justice League.
Need to see Modok live action, that will make my decade.
