You know when I think of someone playing a prince from ancient Persia, the first possible actor that comes to my mind is Oded Fehr Jake Gyllenhaal. Apparently I wasn’t alone, because Donnie Darko himself led Disney’s live-action adaptation of the popular, eponymous video game straight to the third-from-the-top of the box office where it limped to nearly $100 million stateside.
And now, it can be yours to own so you can turn back the clock in the comfort of your own home. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on September 14th, 2010.
For those who really want the most bang for your buck, check out the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Combo pack — which includes both the Blu-ray and DVD as well as a digital download — and offers the unique bonus feature of the “Sands of Time,” not available on the single-disc editions.
All editions of the movie are rated PG-13 and presented in 2.40:1 widescreen. The Three-Disc Combo pack will likely run you $44.99, while the Blu-ray and DVD single-disc versions will be listed at $29.99 and $19.99 respectively.

Yeah, it was stupid. A Persian character played by an American actor putting on an English accent!
I thought the dude who played Syed from Lost would've been pretty good in the role. The again, he's the only (somewhat) bankable brown actor I know.
I didn't see it but I heard it wasn't all bad. I mean, Mike Newall is a dude. Anyone care to say what they thought of it?
