It’s been a few years now since Fable II’s RPG/Empire-building/Dog Ownership mishmash hit the 360, and we’re still not quite sure what to make of it. On the one hand, it features a brilliantly realized fantasy world that the player can actively shape. On the other hand, it’s a six-hour long story experience without any real sense of challenge or accomplishment. And that’s not even getting into the farting minigame.
While we ponder whether Fable III will adjust any of the franchise’s many strengths and weaknesses, here’s a look at the game’s opening cinematic, which balances slapstick humor, pathos, and animal abuse to surprising effect:
Expect Fable III to arrive on October 26 for the 360.

This was the best trailer they have done so far. Love it.
On a cooincedential note, I had Pandora open in another window, and Dead Moon's "Going South" started playing just as the chicken jumped out of the crate. Fit PERFECTLY. at fist I was wondering why the music for the trailer was so anacrhonistic….but…..it really really fit.
I have enjoyed all of the previous Fable Games,..ther first was my first game when I bought by xbox ages and ages ago. The second was fun, but sadly short. If this ramps up the level of stam punk and fun, then I will be impressed.
That was fun and zany and then incredibly depressing. I love all the Fable games despite their (many) shortcomings. Janky game mechanics aside, they can do personality and ambiance and atmosphere with the best of them. I can't wait for 3.
